full-kids-range.jpgNew modern packaging with unique features, refined product and top new licences. Green’s, the country’s no.1 mixes brand and experts in baking, has announced the re-launch of their full product range. The re-launch will feature fresh new packaging; refined natural recipes; activity sheets and decorating tubes in all kids’ boxes; as well as a re-designed website with new content and features (www.greenscakes.co.uk).

The Green’s extensive product range has undergone a complete package re-design to meet the developing taste of the modern baker and Green’s consumer. As well as a new modern design, Green’s are the first within the home baking category to introduce a unique opening feature, which will enable the consumer to detach one side of the box in order to display the recipe separately. In addition, Green’s will be the first to include a decorating tube in all the kids’ products along with an activity sheet to enhance the baking experience. The quality product portfolio also continues to expand with the inclusion of new products into the range; Lemon and Choc Orange gooey centred muffins, Soft & Chewy Cookies with Belgian Milk Chocolate and a tasty journey with Rocky Road.

Green’s, which has become the no.1 brand in children’s mixes, has a strong portfolio of licensed products including Barbie, Dennis the Menace, Doctor Who, Dora the Explorer, Tom and Jerry, Noddy, Thomas the Tank Engine, and Scooby Doo, and as part of the re-launch will be introducing two new properties to the mix; top rated CBeebies show, In the Night Garden and children’s classic, Tweety Pie.

Green’s has a longstanding relationship with all major retailers who have provided strong support for the re-launched product range. A newly designed website (www.greenscakes.co.uk) will compliment the brand developments and support parents with new content including recipes, downloadable fun activities, calendar, tips and games to entertain the children.

Sara Gardner, Category Development Controller, Home Baking, Kerry Foods comments: “The re-launch of the Green’s range is part of our on-going commitment to today’s baker and we are confident from our extensive research and experience of the category that we have created a recipe for success. The fresh new look and key features are designed to provide the perfect solution for busy parents and keen bakers, and we look forward to providing our consumers with not only a refined product, but also entertainment for the family to enjoy together.”

Celebrating over 100 years of baking, Green’s was founded in 1907 by Horace Green, a baker from Brighton who decided to blend together dry ingredients creating his special cake mixes. Since then production has continued and in 1998 Green’s was bought by Kerry Foods Ltd.

Green’s is the country’s number one mixes brand with strong retail distribution in every major supermarket in the UK. The recipe of success stems from their policy of keeping baking simple, fun and very tasty as well as being committed to maintaining and promoting the value of quality time together as a family through their brand and product. The extensive product range offers everything from mixes for kids’ cakes to mixes for both large and small cakes and desserts that cater for all tastes and every occasion. Green’s product range also includes licensed product from top children’s brands including Tom & Jerry, Dora The Explorer, Thomas & Friends, Barbie, Scooby-Doo, Noddy, Dennis the Menace, Doctor Who, and other children’s favourites plus the new additions will include In The Night Garden and Tweety Pie.

Hi there – many years ago, I used to buy a cake mix called Lemon Spice Cake – I am, sure it was one of yours, it was absolutely delicious, when my children were young they really loved it, just wish it was one of the mixes you seem to be re-launching! could there be any chance of a revival – as I know that many people loved it.

    Regards – Olive Lane

Have been unable to find a supermarket or indeed corner shop who stocks Green’s Classic Sponge Recipe, and despite a couple of e-mails to Green’s, who courteously replied, I am still no further forward.
Can anyone advise me of a supplier who will supply me directly? I am just a housewife who loves to bake, and in my opinion, Green’s are the best!
