Members of the FMCG industry are setting themselves an epic challenge to raise £10,000 for children’s cancer charity, The Joshua Tree.

Aoife Kenny from Aryzta Food Solutions, Adam Shinwell from Kellogg’s and Martin Jackson and Claire Murgatroyd from FMCG PR specialists MTJ Associates will be part of a team tackling the national Three Peaks to celebrate a design agency’s 10 year anniversary.

The 10 for 10 3 Peaks Challenge sees the team take on the tallest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales in just 24 hours on 5-6 August 2016

Headed up by Tom Dent and Tom Denton, Cheshire based Double D Creative delivers innovative and engaging campaigns across traditional and digital media.

Tom Dent says: “We wanted to do something to celebrate reaching double figures that was going to challenge us, raise a significant amount for charity and also involve clients.  So we thought what better way than to put ourselves, and 10 of our lucky clients, through a gruelling 24hr trek ascending the tallest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales!

“The Joshua Tree is an incredible charity supporting families living with the life-changing experience of childhood cancer. They offer emotional and practical support to the whole family to ensure that life remains as normal as possible during what is an incredibly traumatic time. It’s a privilege to be raising money for them.”

The 10 for 10 team will be climbing over 3400m across three mountains; Snowdon in Wales, Scafell Pike in England and Ben Nevis in Scotland.  The team includes:

Sara Wheater, Fundraising Manager at The Joshua Tree comments:  “We’re thrilled that the team is taking on the phenomenal three peaks challenge for us during what is also our 10th anniversary year.

“All monies raised from this epic challenge will go towards the build of our much needed new Support Centre scheduled for later this year for the families we support across Cheshire who are affected by childhood cancers.  Huge thanks go out to the creative team taking part.”

Tom concludes: “We’re asking people to dig deep!  It’s a fantastic charity that really does make a massive difference to people’s lives.”
