Plastics packaging expert supplies top quality clear containers to Kettleby Foods.
Færch Plast Ltd, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of plastics packaging for the food industry, has been chosen by supplier of premium quality ready meals, Kettleby Foods, to manufacture clear polypropylene (PP) bowls for a range of re-launched products at Morrisons Supermarkets.
Based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, Kettleby Foods has used Færch Plast to package its customers’ ready meals for ten years.
According to Amanda Holmes from Kettleby Foods, “We use Færch Plast for the excellent quality, reliability and cooking performance of its PP products, and because the supplier is very helpful in getting samples to us quickly and making sure orders are delivered on time.”
When Morrisons decided on the re-launch of its Vegetable Accompaniments and the Best Vegetable Accompaniments ranges, the requirement was for clear packaging to increase shelf presence, as the range was being re-merchandised in store.
Amanda continues: “The clear, high clarity PP bowls improve visibility of pack contents, ensuring ease of product identification by the customer, and the range is ‘brought to life’ as the customer can see what is inside.”
Developed to provide exceptional transparency and unrivalled impact resistance, even at low temperatures, the PP bowls give immediate on-shelf impact for re-launched Mashed Potato, Cabbage & Onion Mash, Cheese Mash and The Best Mash, as well as new launches of Spiced Red Cabbage and The Best Root Vegetable Crush.
Machine filled by Kettleby Foods, the bowls are film sealed and packaged with a watchstrap sleeve to maximise the visual appeal of the products.
Amanda concludes: “These bowls do the job so well that other suppliers to the category have also adopted them, giving great on-shelf cohesion.”
