The English Provender Company has extended its flagship Very Lazy range of ready prepared ingredients with the launch of four new pastes. They include a brand new flavour of Lemongrass, plus best sellers Garlic, Ginger and Hot Red Chilli. The pastes, intended for use in sauces, toppings and soups when a smooth texture is required, are packed in 110g -120g jars, depending on type. Peel off labelling informs consumers how the paste equates to fresh product.
Says Brand Manager Rachel Chang: “Very Lazy’s aim is to make life as easy as possible for consumers who want to prepare home cooked food. Telling them a teaspoon equates to one large clove of garlic, for instance, takes away any guesswork and confusion when following recipes. Both the ginger and lemongrass variants are suitable for sweet dishes as well as savoury, which gives consumers an added reason to buy.”
The Lemongrass, Ginger, Garlic and Red Chilli are packed in vegetable oil and, like all English Provender products, use the finest ingredients. Recipe experts have been employed to test the pastes in a range of applications and marketing support will encourage consumer use from everything to flavoured fruit syrups to garlic mayonnaise.
The pastes will retail for around £1.25 and are designed to be sold alongside English Provender’s existing Very Lazy range of chopped Garlic, Red Chilli, Ginger and Caramelised Red Onion.
