da-vinci.jpgThe UK’s leading supplier of branded ice cream freezers is doing its bit to help retailers through the credit crunch with a new scheme that will give them stock to the retail value of a new Vista ice cream freezer. And even more good news for the New Year is that Hyde-based Total Refrigeration is holding its 2008 prices on its complete range of branded freezers.

Stuart Grimshaw, Marketing Manager at Total Refrigeration, which is owned by Unilever UK Ltd, says:  “We know retailers are struggling and this is our way of rewarding our customers for their loyalty. The scheme means that retailers can have a brand new eye-catching Wall’s branded Vista freezer and then essentially claim the value of it back through the sale of the ice cream they have purchased to the value of the stock vouchers.

For example, an internet order of a Vista 12 freezer at £449 (plus VAT) would attract £300 worth of ice cream vouchers that would equate to £450 in ice cream sales. “Once all the ice cream is sold, the freezer has not cost anything apart from VAT,” says Stuart.

“In effect the customer is getting the freezer at a net cost of zero,” says Stuart. But retailers are being urged to place their order as soon as possible as the increased ice cream voucher scheme expires at the end of April.

“We’re already giving away ice cream vouchers, but now we’ll give away even more. Times are tough, but this scheme should help retailers as nearly a third of ice cream sales are made during the winter.”

As part of Total Refrigeration’s green initiative, customers will be rewarded with more ice cream vouchers for telephone ordering and even more vouchers for online ordering at www.totalrefrigeration.co.uk. “We’re acutely aware of the impact of our carbon footprint and have designed a simple online ordering system,” says Stuart.

The promotion is available on the Vista range but the Maxivision II range have also had their stock vouchers increased by a further £100 during the promotional period.

The ice cream promotion is running alongside Total Refrigeration’s new initiative to lease freezer equipment.  Retailers can now spread the cost of new refrigeration equipment over three years. The scheme is available on all Total Refrigeration equipment valued at £949 (plus VAT) and above.  The leasing scheme means that a retailer could have a new Wall’s branded Maxivision II freezer in store for the weekly equivalent of just £8.78 (plus VAT) over 3 years.
