  • Iconic Minifigures from the film will feature on 300 million iconic blue Chiquita Banana stickers
  • Retailers should stock up now, to take advantage of this latest sales opportunity

Chiquita Brands International, the world’s leading produce company, has announced a new global partnership with LEGO® MOVIE 2.

Commencing in retail and wholesale throughout the UK from now, more than 300 million Chiquita stickers across the world will now feature characters from the film. Chiquita’s iconic Blue Stickers, which have become a symbol for high-quality fruit since 1963, have been used to promote a number of initiatives in the past and even become collector’s items, with fans desperate to get their hands on the limited-edition designs, meaning that these latest stickers will be highly sought after by consumers.

Capitalising on heighted consumer awareness throughout the film’s promotion, the limited-edition Blue Stickers are set to act as a key footfall driver for independent and convenience stores. The partnership will also create numerous upselling opportunities as fans aim to collect the entire range of stickers, incentivising retailers to maximise each individual sales opportunity.

“Chiquita bananas are bright and fun just like our fellow iconic brand LEGO, which is why we are thrilled to team up with THE LEGO MOVIE 2,” said Jamie Postell, Director of Sales North America for Chiquita “Chiquita shares the common values of brightening up our consumer’s days and encouraging fun and laughter for all.  We hope to provide a little bit of sunshine and happiness this winter season, inspiring fans to discover our special stickers, collect them and share the love.”
