Mintons Good Foods, a Welsh family-owned business has been supplying fine foods, whole foods and health foods since the early 1970’s.
They have recently engaged the services of a partnership between film specialists National Flexible and NXL Design in the development of the packaging for their new ‘Hungry Dragon’ range of snacks.
NXL’s Design Manager – Phil Parkinson said of the project, “We created the artwork for the range in a way that meant there were minimal set-up costs for printing. Not only did we help them reduce the initial launch cost dramatically, but we also made it so that further additions to the range would be relatively inexpensive.”
Bright colours and strong visuals were used for the printed film bags to ensure that the packs stood out on the shelf. The range is selling well and Mintons are delighted with the results.
The new project is the latest in a line of collaborations between NXL and National Flexible where they have provided an end-to-end service in the concept, development and supply of printed packaging film.
National Flexible is the UK’s largest distributor of polypropylene, laminates and special films. Their Bradford-based factory services customers with flexible packaging films in the food, contract packing and pharmaceutical industries.
NXL Design is a creative agency specialising in brand, design and packaging management. They have a growing portfolio of FMCG clients adding value to the transition between design concept and packaging reality.
