Bostik is preparing to go ‘back to school’ with a number of key products for the new school term.
Blu-Tack®, the market’s leading re-usable adhesive, has enjoyed continued sales success over the last 12 months with sales increasing in value by 8.6% per cent over the last year to grow the product’s share of the tack market to 85.4% per cent*. As the ‘back to school’ season approaches, Blu-Tack® is anticipating a further peak in sales as schools look to stock up for the new term.
Sew Simple from Bostik is a solvent-free fabric glue which sticks in just one minute to form a strong and invisible mend and provides an ideal alternative to a needle and thread. It can be used to fix name tags into school uniforms and sports kits and can even be machine washed and ironed.
Also new for 2010 is Bostik’s Sticki Pen Jumbo. A new innovation in the glue stick market, Sticki Pen Jumbo lasts twice as long as traditional glue sticks, is easier to apply, can do fine nib or wide nib applications and is also repositionable. Positioned as a trendy pencil case item, Sticki Pen Jumbo is a strategic addition to the Bostik Sticki Pen (fine) which has already achieved number one status within its category with sales doubling in some of the multiples in the last 12 months*. Sticki Pen Jumbo will be available from September from WH Smith.
