Don Lear, the Bhaji Man, has created his favourite childhood dish – his Mummy’s Sri Lankan Yummy Chicken Curry.
“Mummy’s yummy yummy meal brings back wonderful childhood memories of my Mum and Dad, my three Uncles, my eight Brothers and Sisters and me all sitting down to this most delicious curry dish,” says Don.
Also launching at the Show is Bhaji Man’s delicious Sri Lankan Prawn Curry.
“Only by buying meat, fish and vegetables locally and cooking at home from scratch, can you be sure of what you are eating,” says Don.
Bhaji Man’s Spice Kits and Easy Mixes are the solution to cooking ‘hassle free’ authentic ethnic dishes at home.
These innovative products take out all the grinding and mixing of herbs and spices – to give a simple step-by-step recipe guide of when to add ingredients and how to cook the dishes to perfection.
They are produced by Norfolk-based Don Lear in tribute to the home-cooking of his Sri Lankan homeland and his passion to share his love of cooking.
All products are Gluten Free, while the Seafood & Vegetable Pakora mix is suitable for vegetarians.
“We urge our customers to support their local farm shop, butcher and food hall by buying local produce to cook my recipes,” says Don.
