The Beechdean Group, the largest farm based ice cream business in the UK, will be unveiling an exciting new licensed character product for the first time on its stand at IFE 2013. The character, who is recognised globally, is set to drive sales in the retail sector for Beechdean in addition to growing its already thriving foodservice business. Owner Andrew Howard says ‘We are delighted to be bringing such an exciting brand to the ice cream category. We have an exciting six-figure PR and Marketing programme in place for 2013 to support its launch and we are forecasting first year sales ahead of industry benchmarks’

Beechdean is also tapping into the consumer trend for premiumisation with the re-launch of Loseley ice creams which the group acquired in 2011. The full range will also be displayed for the first time at the show. Howard says of the Loseley brand ‘sales of premium ice-creams are growing year on year in both volume and value and the Loseley range is perfectly placed to capitalise on this – meaning great profit opportunities for retailers’.

The Beechdean Group, which is a leading player in the UK ice cream market, is made up of several product portfolios under the following brands; Beechdean Dairies Farmhouse, Loseley, Thayers, Granelli and Yorkshire Dales. The group has the capacity to produce 30 million litres of ice cream a year and currently sells over 12 million litres annually in foodservice.

Andrew Howard adds ‘We believe ice cream should be great quality, tasty and interesting. Our products will always deliver against this criteria’.

Products from The Beechdean Group are available through national distributor channels including 3663, Ice Cream World, Palmer & Harvey and many other distributors.
