Your investment journey in Canada starts with Immediate Core

basco-omega-dollyProducing over half a million bread trays every year for Bakers Basco Limited, requires a complex and controlled stock & logistics system. For the bakeries, It is absolutely essential that baskets arrive on time and to the right destination; otherwise bread will simply end up on the floor! It is imperative that stock levels are maintained to ensure there are enough parts available at all times. In order to keep deliveries flowing smoothly our stock level ranges in size from 15-40k baskets at any one time and is constantly monitored with reports going to Basco on a daily basis. We currently manage the delivery of 20 full lorry loads every week to the six Basco bakeries, Hovis, Warburtons, Kingsmill, Fine Lady, Braces and Roberts.

In an on-going effort to increase efficiency, one such plan was introduced that streamlined the delivery process. Previously the bread trays were delivered on wooden pallets to the bakeries with a separate lorry delivering the dollys. We changed this so that bread trays are now delivered on dollies which therefore reduced the number of lorries required. Saving time and costs all round.

Although it was a fairly complicated process to initiate, with 70k dollies added to the mix, it has proved a worthwhile task and it now runs very smoothly.

Our aim from day one has been to be as honest as possible and have constant clear communication.
