Due to overwhelming popularity Simply Ice Cream will be creating its limited edition Burn’s Night flavour Atholl Brose again this year in time for Burn’s Night on Thursday 25th January.
Last year Simply Ice Cream, Kent’s award-winning ice cream maker, created an Atholl Brose ice cream flavour for a few local shops and restaurants who had requested it for Burn’s Night celebrations. The uptake was so popular across Kent and London that the team at Simply Ice Cream, who make all the ice creams by hand, had to pause the usual production schedule to create more of the anticipated quantity of Atholl Brose flavoured ice cream. The hand-made limited edition flavour was served widely across Kent and in some of the top London based Scottish establishments and private clubs last year.
It will be available to restaurants and fine food stores across the south east and London for £4.99 per 500ml pot, as with all Simply Ice Cream flavours, catering quantities are always available by request, please call 01233 720922.
Simply Ice Cream Atholl Brose is made with Whisky, Scottish Oats, Cream and honey, which are combined with Simply’s signature indulgently rich ice cream in the Simply Ice Cream kitchens near Ashford. The result is the sweet creamy, whisky honeyed flavour of Scottish Atholl Brose.
“We never expected Atholl Brose ice cream to be so popular; we had to order in extra ingredients. There has been a noticeable increase in the number of Burn’s Night celebrations across Kent over the last few years. The heady mixture of poetry, whisky, haggis and a party in the darkest month of the year, combines to give everyone a reason to celebrate!” Said Sally Newall, Managing Director of Simply Ice Cream.
Simply Ice Cream is made by a small team in Kent producing ice cream the old fashioned way, by hand, in small batches using only locally sourced Kent ingredients (where possible), natural flavours and seasonal fruits. The ice cream is free from any syrups, mixers, additives or preservatives, offering just pure natural goodness and flavour for all the family.
