A first for Kikkoman Soy Sauce

Kikkoman, the leading global producer of soy sauce, has made its very first appearance in a commercial on UK television. The 20 and 30 second commercials designed and executed by Kikkoman’s European advertising agency ADK shows Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce being used as a seasoning in cooking and in glazes across a number of meal occasions.

The commercial was televised over a 3 week period to 31st March on key channels including regional ITV1, E4, More 4, Food Network and Sky1 with priority given to high affinity, influential programming such as Come Dine With Me and Jamie’s 30 Minutes Meals. It was estimated to reach 19m people and is available to view online.

Bing-yu Lee, Manager UK, Kikkoman said “This is a very important step for Kikkoman and we believe the time is now right for our soy sauce to appear in a TV commercial. Kikkoman has always been positioned as an-purpose seasoning in everyday cooking and the commercial delivers this message very clearly.”

Shot in the UK, the commercial is also scheduled to appear across a number of European countries where Kikkoman conducts business.
