The eating in trend continues to grow in popularity and both scratch cooking and consumer appetite for ethnic food and hotter flavours are in strong growth. Mintel Oxygen’s January 2014 World Cuisines Report found that 69% of consumers are interested in trying new ethnic dishes that they have not tried before, while 32% of ethnic food eaters state that they enjoy spicier foods now more than a few years ago.
