The International Safety Awards are given to organisations in recognition of their proven commitment to high standards of health and safety management practice in order to prevent workplace injury and ill health.

Alex Botha, Chief Executive of the British Safety Council, congratulated Albert Bartlett, saying: “The success criteria for our International Safety Awards is challenging and that rightly reflects the importance of ensuring the risks of injury and ill health in the workplace are properly controlled. Awards have an important part to play in driving improvements in health and safety management year on year. We are proud of our association with Albert Bartlett and their recognition that getting health and safety right is a business enabler.”

Layne Johnson, Head of Human Resources at Albert Bartlett comments: “This award clearly demonstrates our on-going commitment to the health, safety and well-being of our workforce.”

The International Safety Awards follow the recent Management Award (Large Company Category) awarded to Albert Bartlett by the Vision in Business for the Environment of Scotland Awards (VIBES) recognising the commitment, actions and achievements of Scottish companies in reducing their impact on the environment.
